8/20 Graduation!!

Today, our graduation was held! It was so wonderful, great, impressive, emotional and touching! I can't explain how wonderful it was in the words!! The graduation was the best graduation I have ever been to, I think. I could give some presents to my English teacher, Anita, but it was so impressive. When I gave her the presents, we could have a short conversation, and she said "I think you are like my son, and I'm proud of having been able to teach you. If you will come to the United States, please visit to me!!" When I heard it, I was so happy and glad, and I could not help stopping my tears. I think she is the best English teacher all over the world. I really respect her!! Her teaching was really good, so we could improve our English ability. I really appreciate her. Thanks to her I could improve not only my English ability but also myself. I learned a lot of things from her. Thanks to her, I could get my goal!! It is to study abroad to the United States!! Thought her class, I got confidence on my English, and I thought I want to improve my English more. So I decided to aim to study abroad!! I know it is not so easy, but I have a dream, so I can do my best to come it true!! I want to visit her, if I will be able to study abroad!! I think she is the person who has had an influence to me the best!! After the graduation, my host family took me to dinner. We went to Italian restaurant, and it was really really good!! I got full and I could have very good time with my host family!! After we got home, I gave them a little present I made. It is a board their names are on it in KANZI. I'm not good at writing and KANZI, so it was very hard for me. I consulted my dictionary again and again, and I made it. They looked happy, so I was happy. After that, we talked a lot and they went to bed, and I'm writing this blog. Through this home stay program, I have experienced a lot of things I have never experienced. These things made me tough and improved me. I think I was really improved through this 1 month. I will never forget my memories I got her, in the United States. I'm really satisfied with them!! Then, I will go back to Japan, but I didn't prepare for going back to Japan, so I will go to my room!! Have a good day!! See you soon!

8/19 MOA!!!!

MOA stands for Mall Of America! I went there today, too!! Today, I finally bought a lot of souvenirs!!!!!! I don't tell you what are them, so please be looking forward them!! I will go back to Japan soon!! I'm very happy but I think I want to stay here more too. Soon after, I go back to Japan. I have to take a lot of tests!! And I have to work. It will be very hard and tough for me, I think. I really want to go camping but I might not be able to go camping. It is very bad for me. I don't want to take tests!!!!!!!! I hate tests!!!!!! 8/18 OAKLEY!!

Today, we went to zoo in the morning. But it was not s o fun. There were not so many animals, and I'm not interested in animals, so to tell the truth, it was a little boring. After that, we went to Mall of America again!! My bag was broken, so I bought new one!! It is from OAKLEY!! OAKLEY is very famous brand and my sun glasses are from OAKLEY!! The products of OAKLEY are very cool, but very expensive. My bag was about 150 dollar. But I am really satisfied with it!! I'm very very happy now!! Tomorrow, I will go to Mall of America with my friends again!! I have not bought souvenirs yet, so we will go there to look for souvenirs!! What do you guys want as souvenir?? Then, have a good day!! 8/17 VIP!!

Today, we went to down town, Minneapolis to meet a Very Important Person of the United States. His name is Walter Mondale and he is a person who was a vice-president of the United States and an ambassador of Japan. He is so important person, so we had to wear suit. I was chosen to ask him some questions, so I have had a lot of butterflies in my stomach. When I asked him some questions, I could speak well, but his answer was a little difficult, so I had a difficulty. But I have never talked with such an important person in English, so it was very good opportunity and very good experience. After the meeting, I was praised many people, so I was so happy!! Even Mr., Mondale praised me!! It became a very good memory for me!! I took a picture with him, so the meeting was very good!! After that, we went to down town to play a game. The game is called Scavenger hunt, and we had to look for some places and we had to take some pictures. We didn't know the places, so we asked many people. The people were so kind to us!! Today, I could talk with a lot of people in English, so today was very good day for me!! Then, have a good day!! See you!!

8/16 Long time no see!!

Hi everyone!! Long time no see!! How have you guys been doing?? I wanted to keep my diary but very big storm came to our town, and we lost power and our telephone line has been dead, so I could not use internet. So, I will write my diary today!! So, if you have time to read, please read them!!


FRIDAY On Friday, I talked with my host sister who stole my money. She has been to camping, and she came home on the day, so I finally could talk with her the day. First, I asked her why she stole my money. And she answered this "I don't know, it's from my emotion and I can not stop it myself. It is very difficult for me to stop stealing money as it is very difficult for the people who smoke to stop smoking. It's like a habit." It made me very angry, and I said many bad words. I talked with her and her parents (My host parents) about two hours, but I could not forgive her because I thought she did not regret it. After that, I, my host father and youngest host sister had to go to South Dakota, so we left home. It was about 9:00 pm. And it took about 4, 5 hour to go there, so when we got there; it was about 2:00 am, on next day. So we went to bed soon after we got there.

SATURDAY On Saturday morning, my host father woke me up at 6:30 am, and he said "Kazuki, we have to go home!! Big storm came to our house, and a lot of trees were laid down!! So we will leave here 8:00!!" I could not believe my ears, because the trees were so big, and we came to South Dakota the day!! But it was real. We left South Dakota 8:00 am, so I stayed there about 6 hours. It was very hard for me. It took about 5,5 hour to go back home because of traffic jam. When I got home, I could not believe my eyes. A lot of big trees were laid down. We have to cut these trees and bring these trees. It was very tough work for me.

SUNDAY On Sunday, we woke up early in the morning, and we started to work. Some of my host family's friends came to help us, but there were many trees and those trees were very big, so we had to work all day long. It was vey very hard work for me, but I could many American people, so it was very good experience for me. After that, we had a small party with the friends. It was so fun!! I had many hot dogs. Those were very tasty!! I thought I like this country!!

MONDAY On Monday, we went to Wave Pool in the afternoon!! It was really fun!! The waves were very high, so I was almost drowned sometimes. But it was really fun!! I could enjoy swimming with my friends!! So it was very y good memory for me!! When we were going back to school, I was so tired, so I was sleeping. The day was really really good day!! I want to go there again!!

TUESDAY Yesterday, I watched "PIRATE of CAEIBBEAN" with my host family on DVD. I have never watched the movie, so it was very interesting!! There were some words I didn't know, so I watched the movie with consulting these words in my dictionary. It was difficult for me to understand all of the story, but I could understand almost. It was very good movie, I thought. I watched 1st yesterday, so I will decide to watch 2nd and 3rd when I got to Japan!! I heard that to watch movies in English is very good for studying English, so I will do that!! I will study hard to be able to speak English much better than now!!

WEDNESDAY Today, we took our last ESL class. I like the class and my teacher, s oI feel sad. My friend was crying. We talked with her a lot today, so today was very good day!! Thanks to her class, I could improve my English ability, and I knew many things. So I really appreciate her!! I want to see her someday again, and I want to talk with her my improved English!! So I will keep practicing English very hard!! I really enjoyed your class and your class was the best English class I have ever taken!! Thank you very much Anita!! See you again someday!!

8/10 I was very glad!!

Today, I got very glad!! Because my English ability was praised again!! Yeah!!!!! When I was talking American assistant, she asked me whether I have ever been to foreign country except this program, and I answered "No, this is my first time to visit to foreign country, but why??", and she said "Your English is really good, so I thought you have been some countries. I have never seen the Japanese student as well as you, so I am so surprised!!" It made me really glad and happy!! I think my English ability was really improved through this home stay program. So I am really satisfied with it!! From tomorrow night, I may be going to South Dakota. It is very far from Minnesota. There is my host family's grad father's house, so we will go there. My host father said that it will take about 4 or 5 hours to go there. To tell the truth, it is very troublesome for me. But I have to go there, so I gave up. I may not be able to use PC there, so I might not be able to keep diary, but when I come back, I will make my blog again!! Then, see you!! Have a great weekend!!

8/9 Billiards!!

These days, we play billiards every day at lunch time. I didn't know the rule of it, but once I have started it, it is very fun to play!! I'm very bad at playing it, but it is so fun. I always play with Aittch, she is my school senior, and she can play it very well. So I am always same team with her!! I don't know why but, after I push ball, ball is always jumped, but even it is so fun for me!! Aittch is very good at playing it, so I can always win!! So I am always happy!! 8/5 Mall of America!! Part 2!!

Today, I went to Mall of America again!! This morning, my friend's host family called my host family and they took me there together!! Today was very good day, because I could buy new New Era cap!! It was very cheap, so I bought two caps!! They were the collaboration with DC brand, so I have never seen them. They are very rare in Japan, I think!! So I'm really satisfied with them!! And I wanted to buy souvenirs, and I walked around and looked around but I could not find anything... What do you guys want?? I am thinking that foods are good for souvenir, but how do you think?? Anyway, today was very good for me because I could buy souvenirs for ME!! I'm really happy!! Then, I'll go to bed!! See you!! Have a good day!

8/4 Canoeing!!

Today, we went to a really big river to canoe!! I have been to a river to canoe, but it was very long ago so I was really excited!! My host father and host sister came with us!! To canoe was really fun and really hard. My friends, Mika and Miki were on the same canoe and we were really enjoying!! But after that, we were really tired. Our canoe was overturned sometimes, but even it was really fun!! I made friends with them more than before, I think so it was very good!! Anyway today was pretty good!! I really enjoyed today!! 8/1 Museum!!

Today, we went to Walker Museum from afternoon. I'm not interested in arts, so it was very boring. I could not understand why they are worthy. I also thought I can make such a thing!! So I can be a great artist!!! Anyway, it was really boring. So I　stopped looking around, and started to play "BARITITTI". It is very hot play among us!! I played it again and again!! It was very fun!! It was much more interesting than to look around in the museum. At night, I helped my host father to make his garden better. I dug ground very hard!!! There are a lot of rocks and concrete, so it was very very hard job for us. After we finished it, we were getting sweat!! But it was very fun!! Then, I will go to bed!! Have a good day!! See you!!
